Mr. Noiret's Last Love The film catches your eye from the very first frame.
The subtle very sensual work of the operator conveys every, almost invisible movement and facial expressions on the faces of the actors, peers into the depth of their thoughts, feelings, sensations, hidden desires.
The film is deeply erotic and sensitive - even though there are no bed scenes, which makes the film even more unique and unlike all other similar themes.
Throughout the dramatic film, we observe the convergence of two loneliness, an elderly philanthropist, with a huge baggage of knowledge and impressions of the past life performed by Philip Noiret and a young lonely woman tired of an endless string of lovers, an image quite adequate to the realities of our time, created by a woman vamp Ornella Mutti.
What drives the actions of these two people – we ask throughout the film – because the age difference is simply huge – but still something holds them together in the common space of one room?
We get the answer only by the end of the film, I assure you, it will not disappoint you, although for someone it will seem somewhat amorphous, blurry, groundless.
